The Adventures of Prince Achmed!

This event is somthing that all of us MCMA students had a chance to go to. In class Dr. Michele Torre informed us that we could go to Altgeld Hall for extra credit yesterday (April 20th). A few of us decided to go because we thought it would be interesting and give us somthing different to do. It also would give us somthing great to blog about and share with everyone. The show was called The Adventures of Prince Achmed. It lasted about an hour and wasn't like anything that I have ever seen before. This show was performed by the SIUC Improvisation Unit and the Somtimes Orchestra. The film that was shown took a few years to create and consisted of hand cut outs. Each cut out was moved during every short clip to become one long film. The music was done by the Orchestra and really fit the film well. This was a great work of art put together that took time and effort. I'm happy that I ended up going because there won't be many chances to see such a great creation such as The Adventures of Prince Achmed.
